HYDREL - Your Partner for Creative Systems Engineering

Not only does Hydrel GmbH provide extensive technical distribution of INA and FAG rolling bearings and linear guides, but also offers a customized niche production in its in-house fineblanking shop. The company is part of the Schaeffler Group and has been focusing on technology and engineering since it was founded in 1947. Today, more than 3,000 customers from the machine and automotive industry rely on Hydrel as their partner for creative solutions.

Hydrel comprises two business segments: Motion & Control and Fineblanking. Its Hydraulics and Pneumatics departments became independent companies by means of a management buyout in early 2006.

The Motion & Control segment includes all distribution activities and exclusively serves the Swiss market. The Fineblanking segment involves the sale and production of fineblanked parts, multifunctional parts and assemblies. A pioneer in fineblanking, Hydrel has been continuously developing this technology since the early sixties. The company specializes in sophisticated applications that require a great deal of manufacturing expertise in fineblanking and secondary operations.

Hydrel is solely responsible for serving the Swiss market. In the development of international markets, Schaeffler’s external sales organization works closely with application engineers at Hydrel.

Hydrel is a development partner for parts design and prototyping. Application engineers from both Hydrel and the company’s customers work closely together early on in the development process to fully utilize all fineblanking and forming technology potential, allowing designs that are perfectly suited for fineblanking applications and cost-efficient manufacture.

Hydrel GmbH is based in Romanshorn in Switzerland. The company has a total of approximately 260 at its two plants.
